Salt Springs offers a lush, semi-tropical environment and a natural spring. The presence of potassium, magnesium and sodium salts give the waters in the spring a slight salinity. Hence the name Salt Springs.

Unlike most Florida springs, Salt Springs(2 mins away) is home to the blue crab, easily seen during snorkeling. The salinity of the water allows blue crab to live in this aquatic habitat, despite it being over an hour’s drive from either coast.

Plenty of outdoor activities including swimming in the springs, fishing, canoeing, boating, snorkeling, hiking, ATV trails and boating.
Camper includes a large king sized bed, kitchenette, sitting area with dining table, couch that folds out into an additional bed and bathroom.

If you are up for spring hopping, Salt Springs, Alexander Springs, Juniper Springs, and Silver Glen Springs are all located in the Ocala National Forest.
There are 2 springs both 5 minutes from the house, Salt Springs & Silver Glen Springs. Beautiful Juniper Springs, Silver Springs and Alexander Springs are all a hop, skip, and jump away.
The small town of Salt Springs has a little restaurant, bait shop, grocery store, ice cream stand, Dollar General, and a Subway at the gas station. Palatka and Silver Springs are about 20-30 minutes away for shopping.
